Sunday 4th September is the day to celebrate the all the Dad's out there. For all the hugs, advice and yes, even the corny Dad jokes, we are grateful!
We are fortunate to have some amazing producer Dad's on team YFC. We put work aside for a minute and sat down with two of them - Jeff from Anderson's and David from Hunter Natural - to find out what they love about fatherhood.
Jeff, tell us about your kids?
My 'little' boys are Max (16) and Enzo (14), although clearly I'm no longer the biggest person in the family....
Favourite thing about being a Dad:
It's nice to feel like I'm helping to create good humans; with the skills to survive, engage with those around them, and hopefully make the world a better place.
My favourite thing though, is spending time with the boys and sharing new experiences. This image is from a recent gap between travel restrictions when we did some wintertime diving and exploring in Queensland. My boys are great company. It's hard to compete against electronic devices... so we go for quality over quantity.
What are you eating on Dad's Day?
On special days around our house, you get to name a meal you'd love to eat, and as if by magic, the rest of the family make it happen! I'm loving the local cauliflower that's about at the moment. Maybe I'll hint at a simple cauliflowerand garlic pastawith nutsand parsley. Yum!
David, tell us about your kids?
I feel like a bit of a old Dad! We have two beautiful girls, Emily 26 and Chloe 29.
Favourite thing about being a Dad:
Watching them grow into wonderful young adults is absolutely the best! Both my girls are graduated from Uni and are out in the workforce doing work they love.
