    What's the (pooh) ticket to sustainability?

    by Bronni Page

    Local NO ISSUES tissues toilet paper at Your Food Collective home delivered Sydney and Newcastle

    When you want to make a difference in the world, loo paper is probably not the first place you'd think to start..

    But that's exactly where Ziah Lane, founder of Australian based company NO ISSUES decided to begin her quest for more sustainable solutions in products we use everyday. In fact, you could say she started from the bottom up..

    Enough of the bum jokes... Instead, let's take a look at why we should make the switch from paper tissue to bamboo.

    Tree-Free for the Planet

    Most toilet and facial tissues are made from trees. But with global toilet paper production alone consuming 27,000 trees daily, Ziah thought it time for a more sustainable solution - bamboo.

    Why? Unlike trees, bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource for pulp. Bamboo can reach full height in just a few months, without the need for pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers. (Ziah reckons bamboo is the future of the paper industry). That makes it a much kinder option, for us and the planet. So choosing bamboo's a no-brainer, right?

    Soft as a Baby's Bottom

    But what about the quality? NO ISSUES products are premium tree-free packaged tissues, made from soft and strong bamboo and sugarcane fibres that provide the same quality as regular tissues - yesss!

    Simply the Best

    Quite simply, NO ISSUES are the most eco friendly tissue on the market right now. Yes, they're even better than recycled tissue as they use no trees in the tissues. The company also use biodegradable plastic (when plastic wrap has to be used) and zero plastic on the cube boxes. Oh, and have you seen the tissue-cube boxes? They just look better. :)

    Women Kick Butt

    As a female-led business, we know supporting women in business is a simple yet powerful way to contribute to a sustainable future. In 2015 the United Nations developed 17 Sustainable Development Goals for fair and sustainable health at every level: from planetary biosphere to local community. The aim of the Goals is to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity, now and in the future.  Women play a huge role in reaching these goals, so let's show us support wherever possible!

    Choices = Change

    Little choices about everyday purchases do make a difference to our future, and that of the planet. So let's get (ahem..) behindsome of the amazing options out there and favour sustainability every time. Oh, and don't forget we can get these amazing tissue products and more deliveredright to your front door!
