Meet Bridget an incredibly talented cook, food stylist and mum. When she's not dreaming up more ways to cook with chilli she's, cooking without chilli (no where are exciting)!!
Tell us your story, what brought you to Sydney?
I grew up in Sydney but lived in Vancouver for about 6 years after getting married. Once we had kids we realized how important it was to be close to family for support and so decided to move home again. We’ve been back for 2 years now and are absolutely loving reconnecting with everyone (and the frequent babysitting!).
Tell us about your amazing food photography?
I am always thinking about food. Half way through lunch I’m already thinking about dinner and I spend lots of time looking through cookbooks or on food blogs. What better way to continue the food obsession (and have an excuse to be in the kitchen more) than food photography? I am still relatively new to it but am really enjoying learning a new skill.
What inspires you day to day?
At the moment it’s my kids that drive and inspire me. I’m at home with them full time and they are always watching so it’s really important for me to set the right example. This year we’ve been working really hard on living more sustainably, I want that to be second nature to them.
Do you have a food philosophy?
Everything is better with chilli!
What do you love about YFC?
Whats not to love? It’s fresh, delicious and delivered right to your door!
What's your go to in the kitchen at the moment?
If it’s for the whole family I’ve been loving lettuce wraps with pork or tofu. If I’m just cooking for myself I can never go past shakshuka with heaps of preserved lemon.
What are you looking forward to?
Autumn, the cool nights and beautiful days. My eldest just started school this year and we're loving the routine. I'm looking forward to relaxed walks, a hot coffee and autumn produce.
