About Express Delivery

Not only are we green and delicious, we aim to be the fastest brussels sprout in the East.  Right now we are trialing express Delivery for Sydney, and will soon be rolling it out further.

Gooey Choc-Hazelnut Pancakes with Strawberries

Local Gooey Choc-Hazelnut Pancakes with Strawberries

Pancakes are flippin' awesome - don't you think? And while a stack of piping hot pancakes might be synonymous with a lazy Sunday morning breakfast, they really can (and should!) to be enjoyed at anytime of the day. 

But back to the 'Gooey'... We've amped up the yum factor with the (generous) inclusion of Choc Hazelnut Spread for this recipe. Layer a dollop of this amazing spread between each pancake for an indulgent, melty treat. Fresh strawberries on top seals the deal. Ready to get flipping?

Gooey Choc Hazelnut Pancakes with Strawberries

For 4 serves, you need:
1 cup self raising flour*
1/2 cup yoghurt (natural, vanilla, non-dairy - you choose)
1 egg
Choc Hazelnut Spread
4-5 strawberries
Oil for greasing the pan

Make it:

  • In a medium bowl mix the flour, egg and yoghurt to form a batter
  • Meanwhile heat a medium pan on moderate heat
  • Grease the pan with a little oil
  • Drop a big spoonful of batter into the pan 
  • Adjust the heat as needed so the pancake browns nicely
  • Flip over with a fork or spatula and cook for 2-3 minutes on the other side
  • Continue until you've used all the batter
  • Cut the strawberries, set aside
  • Once the pancakes are cooked, smooth a generous amount of Choc Hazelnut Spread atop each
  • Stack 'em three high, add some strawberries on top and enjoy!

Go freestyle!

Of course any fruit can be used - go with what's in season. Add some spices like cinnamon or nutmeg to your pancake mix  - it's perfect with bananas! Some of our favourite combos are:
