Not only are we green and delicious, we aim to be the fastest brussels sprout in the East.  Right now we are trialing express Delivery for Sydney, and will soon be rolling it out further.

Express Delivery is available for set boxes and other items showing the speedy sprout 🥦 icon.  If you only have those items in your cart you are eligible for express delivery, otherwise your first available date will be Regular Delivery.

 

Delicious Immune Boosting Meals

Local Tumeric Immune Juice at Your Food Collecitve

Turmerichas been used for centuries in India for it's medical properties and is the root that gives delicious curries their yellow colour.
It's a powerful anti inflammatory, is known to increase antioxidant capacity in the body, and improve brain function. It's hard to find a reason not to eat turmeric! 
These two delicious recipes by @zoealonergan are a great way to get more turmeric into your meals.
The perfect way to boost your immunity and make your body sing!
Local Tumeric At Your Food Collective

 

TUMERIC CONGEE (rice porridge)


INGREDIENTS
1 cup brown rice, rinsed well and drained
1/2 cup jasmine rice, rinsed well and drained
9 cups vegetable or mushroom broth
1.5 teaspoons ground turmeric
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon finely grated ginger
1 teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste

toppings pictured: toasted peanuts, steamed bok choy, chilli oil, black sesame seeds, The Wholefood Family Sauerkraut

OTHER TOPPING OPTIONS:
Poached egg, tofu, broccollitoasted sesame oilkimcheesoy sauce, Sriracha, sprouts or micro greens, chickpeas... you're only limited by your imagination.

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the rices, broth, garlic, ginger, salt and turmeric in a thick bottomed pot, bring to a simmer, and then cook over low-medium heat until you have a loose porridge, about 30 minutes.

Serve the congee topped with whatever toppings you like.
Tumeric Congee At your Food Collective

IMMUNE JUICE


INGREDIENTS
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 orange
1 tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon honey (add more to taste)
1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Sprinkle of cayenne pepper
Sprinkle of sea salt
Grind of black pepper
1 cup sparkling water

METHOD
Blend all the ingredients except the sparkling water.
Pour evenly in to 2 glasses and top with sparkling water.
