Merrifield Farm

Mat, and his two young sons at Merrifield Farm know what real food is all about and are passionate about running their farm ethically. Their Pigs, Cows and Sheep roam freely over the stunning Upper Hunter pastures. The animals are slow grown and organically fed. 

Their Birkshire pigs, are free range and are reared without sheds. Mat and Lucy believe in the importance of keeping a good equilibrium between the animals and the land, allowing them the space to behave in their natural way whilst maintaining the farm in an sustainable manner. Each animal is treated with care and love and they are fed a combination of home grown produce and organic feed millet from locally produced grain crops. 

The meat produced from Merrifield Farm reflects the hard work and love that has gone into rearing the animals, with amazing flavours and melt in the mouth cuts.
